Meet the owner

Alexander Papa is the Founder, CEO, and Owner of a multi location gelato company based out of New Castle PA. The company is called Papa Gelateria. He opened his first shop when he was 17 years old in June of 2019 and his second on May 1st 2021 in nearby New Wilmington PA. In the winter of 2022, Alex partnered with Bakluva Bakery in New Wilmington to expand the New Wilmington shop under their management. He used this opportunity to pursue a third gelato shop location, in Youngstown, OH, which is set to open in Spring of 2023 at the Penguin City Beer Company. He designed everything from the logo, social media, building interior and exterior, and more. He actively employees 8 people. Along with owning Papa Gelateria, Alex is currently a Junior at Youngstown State University majoring in History and Political Science. On campus, Alex serves on YSU Student Government as the appointed Vice President of Public Relations. Alex is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity on campus and was unanimously elected president in April 2022.
